Paying for your Dental Work

West Portal Dental Care is committed to making high-quality dental care affordable. We will always give you a treatment plan outlining every cost associated with each procedure at your first appointment and prior to starting any work.

If you have insurance, we will also provide estimates your insurance company has given us of what it will contribute. For those without insurance or needing additional assistance, we will also let you know if you are a candidate for other financing options available, such as our office discount plan. Patients without insurance (Kleer)

Patients without insurance may sign up with Kleer, West Portal Dental Care’s discount plan using code: QM5R. Depending on you or your family’s needs, there are several options for discounted yearly preventative care services, as well as partnerships with specialist offices to give you a discount on their services too. Kleer will save you or your family member a minimum of $236/person per year on even the lowest tier of services. Patients with Dental Insurance

We are currently “in network” providers with the following dental insurance plans:

Delta Dental Premier, Delta Dental PPO, Cigna PPO, MetLife PPO

We are “out of network” providers for all other PPO dental insurances. Often, coverage is exactly the same for out of network as it is for in-network patients, especially for preventative procedures. The world of insurance is confusing! If you are unsure about your coverage, our highly-trained staff can help you.

A note about dental insurance:

Almost all dental plans are a contract between you, your employer, and an insurance company, with a set annual maximum amount of coverage. Your dental coverage is NOT based on what you need or what your dentist recommends. It is based on how much your employer pays into the plan and the rules imposed by your insurance company.

It is important to note that while we work “with” your insurance company, we do not work “for” them.

Most plans do not cover all procedures, and insurance companies determine what they will contribute on a case by case basis. If you prefer, we can send in a pre-estimation of coverage before starting work to see what they will contribute, though these estimations are not binding. What is not covered by your insurance, you will be obligated to pay to the office.
